Thanks for peeking at my blog! I’m just a simple mom that loves to decorate, design and create (“create” as in creating a bottomless home-renovation list for my husband, but that’s for another day). We’re nothing special, but sometimes our projects are intriguing and I’d love to share all of that with you!
My hope for this blog is that I can be real and vulnerable in regards to parenting, marriage and LIFE. Here you’ll find a real mom with real struggles, and let’s be honest, sometimes the struggle is leaving Home Depot with only the things on my list, right?!
I’m a mom to three very, shall we say… strong-willed… children that I love with every ounce of my being. Braelynn (8). Keaton (almost 6), and Finley (almost 3). My mom has told me that God gives everybody at least one child to keep them humble and from judging others. High five, Lord! You got me covered. But really, they’re all fun and so very different that they just keep life so entertaining. I promise to include our DIY bloopers that generally include a paint covered hand, a child running away with a hammer in tow, and always (and I mean always), the temper tantrums that follow projects that just aren’t kid-friendly. THE WORST, right?!?!?
I almost forgot to talk about the man behind the muscles in our house. The wonderful, patient man that loves DIY-ing just as much as I do! He keeps me calm (or tries), tells me when I’m overreacting, and loves me for who I am. I ask him every day why he loves me so much, even when I feel like I can sometimes act so unlovable (i.e. taking our stress out on those we love the most)! Most (or all) of our home renovation projects are his muscles behind my eye for design. And he’s such a good sport about it! Love that man.
We have quite a few big interior projects planned for this winter that I’m super excited to share! More to come! I hope you enjoy reading as much as I’m looking forward to sharing with you!
PS – where the hell do you find the emojis around here?!
